To celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, Ancestry launched a brand campaign to look back on the last coronation in 1953 and bring to life the stories of people back in that time, encouraging people to investigate their own heritage and history. The campaign was formed of large out of home takeover visuals displayed at iconic London Underground stations.
A suite of three historical people were developed to tell differing stories, each one displayed on digital screens across the station concourses, escalators and platforms.
The animated sites were then complimented with a series of portrait and landscape print artwork, taking over long passages within the stations for commuters to see the various stories and people as they passed through.
